Cable Car For City Views & Walking Tour

After a delicious breakfast, you'll meet your guide for a tour around this historic city.

TelefériQo (cable car):
Ride one of the highest aerial lifts in the world. Take the cable car from the edge of the city center up the east side of Pichincha Volcano to Cruz Loma lookout. 

Virgin of El Panecillo:
Standing 135 feet high (base included), it is one of the highest statues in South America (even taller than the Christ the Redeemer statue in the Brazil). 

Old Town Walking Tour:

San Francisco Church: Established in 1536 by Franciscan monks, this magnificent architectural masterpiece features a museum in its convent with art from the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries.

La Compañía de Jesus Church: Jesuit architects began work on the Iglesia de la Compañía de Jesús in 1605. Today, it is considered one of the finest examples of Spanish Baroque architecture in South America.

Carondelet Palace: Known as the Palace of the Government, the building is believed to be to be over 300 years old. It currently serves as the seat of Ecuador's presidency.

Santa Cruz Island

Eden Islet:
Located off the coast of Santa Cruz Island, you'll get a chance to observe blue-footed boobies diving into the water, reef sharks and frigates. Snorkel or join your Naturalist Guide on the glass-bottom boat for a visual symphony of fish, sea lions, sea turtles, marine iguanas and more(weather permitting).

Sombrero Chino Island:
This tiny island gets its name from its appearance, which is reminiscent of a Chinese Hat. This islet, which formed fairly recently, makes for a beautiful visit as one explores the wildlife along its 400-meter long trail.

Glass-Bottom Boat & Light Hiking Over a Lava Field

Start your day with a hearty breakfast before going off to explore Bartolome Island. After lunch, meet with your Naturalist Guide for a tour of Santiago Island.

Bartolome Island:
We disembark from our dinghy shuttle boat and begin a steep climb up a wooden staircase for stunning views of the island and ocean. Back on the dinghy we go for a ride around colossal Pinnacle Rock. You can also choose to transfer onto the glass-bottom boat to admire colorful marine life.

Santiago Island:
Sullivan Bay: Transfer via dinghy to Sullivan Bay, located on the east coast of Santiago Island. There's a trail that goes over a lava field that once flowed through less than 100 years ago.

Discover "Bird Island"

Start your day with a hearty breakfast before heading off to explore Genovesa Island with your guide.

Genovesa Island: 
Located in the northern part of the archipelago, Genovesa is known to guides as "bird island" because of the many species of birds that nest there.

Darwin Bay:
Among the bird species found here, the most common are swallow-tailed, lava gulls, mockingbirds, yellow-crowned night herons, lava herons, Galapagos doves, and yellow warblers.

Prince Phillip's Steps:
After a careful disembarkment, begin your hike near a small colony of Galapagos sea bears before reaching the top for views of the lava plains. The variety of bird species and sounds will heighten the experience as they fly and land in all directions.

This tour is a well-paced active tour that includes walking on inclined or uneven surfaces. We're sorry, but guests under 6 years old or in wheelchairs are not encouraged to join this tour due to lack of accessibility in hotels and many sites.
Quito is located 9,350ft above sea level. Travelers may experience altitude sickness in destinations higher than 8,000ft above sea level. Common symptoms include headache, nausea, shortness of breath, fatigue, and lack of appetite. For most travelers, it is a manageable condition through medication, herbal remedies, and breathing exercises. Please consult your personal health care provider before travel.
